FACILITY RULES

AXE + LANE SAFETY

SAFETY POLICY

Safety is our first priority at Woodchucks. Carefully read and understand everything below in order to have a fun and safe time in our facility. Any violation of our safety policies or other unsafe behavior by any member of your group may result in you being unable to throw axes, and/or removal from the premises. The fee for your axe throwing reservation/time slot will not be refunded.

CLOTHING

CLOSED-TOE SHOES ARE REQUIRED for anyone entering the throwing area. No high heels are allowed. Loose clothing such as hoodies, shawls, scares, and accessories can also create unsafe conditions by limiting mobility and/or snagging on objects during your event. Your Coach will exercise his/her discretion, and you may be asked to remove any clothing items or accessories which could present a safety risk. T-shirts will be available for purchase when needed.

COACHES

Follow all directions given by our Coaches and other staff. If you forget a safety rule, you will receive a friendly reminder. Repeated failure to follow safety rules may result in removal from the throwing area and/or facility. Please take direction seriously, as all rules are in place for your safety and the safety of others.

THROWING

You will be instructed in safety guidelines, throwing technique, and the use of the scoring system upon arrival.

NEVER enter the throwing area until given permission to do so by your Coach.

NEVER cross the throwing line until axes have come to rest either in the target or on the floor.

NEVER leave the throwing lane with an axe.

Food and beverages are NOT allowed in the throwing lane.

AXES

All throwing axes are provided by Woodchucks. Due to insurance regulations patrons may not bring their own axes or any other throwing implement on to our premise.

HORESPLAY + ROUGHHOUSING

Please behave in a responsible and adult manner. Our staff will issue warnings for any horseplay or roughhousing. Repeated warnings may result in removal from the throwing area and/or the facility. Children must be supervised at all times and it is the parents responsibility to keep them safe and not allow them to create a distraction to other patrons.

ALCOHOL

We ask that you arrive for your reservation free from the influence of any substances, including alcohol. While you are at Woodchucks, please drink responsibly. Drinking to excess puts the safety of yourself and others at risk. Please be aware that arrival under the influence or excessive consumption during your event WILL result in removal from the throwing area and/or facility by our staff.

Thank You
